GIIS Mountbatten was established in July 2017, by the Global Schools Foundation in Singapore with a focus on pre-school. Catering to students of Nursery, KG 1 and KG 2, the campus provides the extra edge in the early years for our little leaders.
It is a dedicated and exclusive pre-school and the Campus offers Global Montessori Plus (GMP) Programme that incorporates the best practices of Maria Montessori methodology with model pre-school education techniques.
Located in Mountbatten District 15 at 231 Mountbatten Centre, access through Guillemard Crescent, Block G # 01-04/06, Singapore 397999, it is situated close to the National Stadium, Singapore Indoor Stadium and a few minutes walk from Mountbatten MRT. The school is part of the Garden City gated complex with many other kindergarten schools in the neighbourhood. Those driving to Mountbatten Campus can access it through Guillemard Crescent.
SPACIOUS YET COZY
The campus is spacious, safe and has a cozy feel to it with dedicated facilities as below:
The dedicated lab helps focus on key developmental stages, learning is child-centered, children naturally learn self-discipline, classroom environment teaches order, focuses on hands-on learning and the emphasis is on concrete, rather than abstract learning, as students work on activities that teach language, math, culture and practical life lessons.
Learning Journey Room
The displays are a culmination of important thematic topics taught over a period of time. It encourages oratory skills and personality development in students as they present themselves in front of an audience demonstrating whatever they have imbibed as part of their learning.
This is a clearly defined space that our young children can use independently to browse through books of their choice and listen to stories read out to them on a regular basis. This room plays an important role in creating a high-quality early childhood learning experience that enriches language and vocabulary development.
Students assemble in the AV Room on a daily basis and assimilate information based on value education, educational videos based on thematic topics, safety videos, they sing patriotic songs, rhymes, partake in celebrations etc. Integration of technology through our Robotics programme also happens in the AV Room.
Performing Arts Room
Qualified instructors from SIFAS conduct classes on traditional dance form of Kathak, percussion classes for mridangam and vocal Carnatic music which our students look forward to every Friday.
Outdoor - Indoor play area
Free play allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity and physical, cognitive and emotional strength. The Toy Room engages students with dramatic play, pretend play, STEM and fine and gross motor activities whereas the outdoor play area promotes more of gross motor development as they engage in structured play and unorganised games.
Building strong partnerships and having meaningful collaboration with the community at large through various initiatives and advocacy programmes is a key thrust of the campus and plenty of opportunities are provided to our students throughout the year.
Some of the agencies we regularly have a tie-up with are Singapore Environment Council (SEC), National Environment Agency (NEA), Starhub, Little Green Dots, Sony Singapore and PUB for important issues such as plastic pollution, water conservation and donation drives.
NURTURING YOUNG MINDS FOR A BETTER TOMORROW
LEADERSHIP AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAMME
Every child at the campus is a leader!! Students look forward to their turn in leading their teams. Leaders are being appointed for conducting the morning assembly, welcoming their peers, parents, and teachers in the morning, line leaders while walking down corridors or during the transition time, class monitors etc. with the aim of providing an opportunity to every student on a rotational basis.
Discovering that entrepreneurial flair through fund-raising opportunities or selling the school garden produce during class presentations to parents are some examples of empowering our students to hone their entrepreneurial skills.
Through the Green curriculum that the school has adopted, we try to instill the values of conservation and preservation, recycling and up cycling and being in sync with nature thereby inculcating and nurturing environmental values and habits at a tender age in order for it to be second nature to the students.
"A GOOD TEACHER IS EVERYTHING A PARENT CAN NEVER BE! THANKS, FOR BEING ONE."
Our Son's preschool in Singapore has now come to an end! We would like to appreciate all your hard work, support and encouragement that you have given our children these days. He loved every minute with you and always comes home full of enthusiasm and stories to tell. We can't thank you enough for supporting him.
The Activities you plan, the room you decorate, the friendships you help foster - it's all incredible, and it's helping our child (and us!) believe that school is fun, which is incredibly important.

I am really happy and satisfied with the school's approach for wholesome and holistic development of every child. I can see a tremendous change in Agastya's linguistic skills. He has started expressing himself so nicely. All thanks to his class teacher Mrs. Sandhya Datar. All praises for her patience and her skills to handle kids so young. Also would like to appreciate the center head Mrs. Rema Rajiv for her enthusiasm and dedication towards the whole teaching and learning process.
(Mother of Agastya Kulkarni - Nursery)
We want to take this opportunity to convey our sincere regards and appreciation to the GIIS Mountbatten faculty for being who they are - genuine, loving, understanding, caring and without a doubt, the best teachers to my son. We have seen him grow and blossom in every aspect of his life. I can see him growing into a fine young lad, all on account of his fantastic pre-schooling which is a critical component of a child's personality.
Within a few months, the last semester of K2 will be over and Dhruv will need to move out of the Mountbatten campus, though we wish we could keep him there for all his schooling years under the able guidance of you wonderful teachers. We are indeed very grateful to you and all the teachers.

The school conducts regular Teachers’ Training Programmes to enhance their skills. All GIIS, teachers are Apple-certified, which means they are trained to use Apple products like iPad and MacBook for curriculum delivery in the classrooms.
The campus has been awarded and recognised for their ‘green’ efforts and outreach initiatives through the School Green Awards (SGA) 2018 by Singapore Environment Council, Most Active and Creative Preschool Award by Little Green Dots for tetra pak collection drive and for active participation in maintaining a clean and green Singapore by National Environment Agency and Community Development Council.
